Join the Society

We welcome researchers and practitioners from China, Asia, and every region of the world who wish to advance comparative clinical psychology, multicultural psychological support, and international dialogue across professional fields.

Participation Across Professions and Regions

Membership is not limited to university researchers or licensed psychologists. The Society welcomes people who support its aims and wish to contribute through research, practice, education, support activities, or related forms of engagement.

Researchers and Psychology Professionals

Researchers, psychologists, counselors, therapists, and professionals working in clinical, cultural, cross-cultural, and multicultural psychology.

Practitioners Across Fields

People working in healthcare, nursing, rehabilitation, education, welfare, public administration, justice, occupational health, international exchange, community services, NGOs, and family support.

Students and Interested Participants

Undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, and others interested in comparative clinical psychology, multicultural inclusion, psychological support, and international collaboration.

Professional licenses and publication records are not the sole criteria for membership

Applicants should support the Society’s aims and have an interest in engaging with this field. Students, early-career practitioners, and people residing outside Japan are welcome to apply.

What Members Can Do

Research Meetings and International Exchange

Members may participate in regular research meetings and academic exchange events, generally without an additional participation fee.

Present Research and Practice

Share research findings, practice reports, literature reviews, and proposals for joint research or international exchange.

Submit to the Society’s Journal

Members are eligible to submit research articles, theoretical papers, practice reports, and scholarly discussions to the peer-reviewed Journal of Comparative Clinical Psychology.

Use the members-only page to view activity reports, distributed materials, and information concerning certificates of participation.

The total first-year payment is JPY 12,000. Please contact the Secretariat regarding international transfers and available payment methods.

Three Steps to Membership

  1. Review the Society’s activities, membership benefits, fees, and procedures.
  2. Complete the online application with your name, affiliation, field of research or practice, a brief introduction, and your reason for applying.
  3. After reviewing the application, the Secretariat will provide instructions on membership procedures and payment.

A recommendation is optional. You may apply without a current member’s recommendation. If you do have a recommender, please include their name in the application.

Can I apply without a psychology license?

Yes. Membership is not determined solely by professional licenses. The Society values commitment to its aims and interest in research, practice, education, or support activities.

Can students and overseas residents join?

Yes. Undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, and people residing outside Japan are welcome to apply.

Can I apply without a recommender?

Yes. A recommender is not required. Include a recommender’s name only when a current member has recommended you.
