Trends in Clinical Psychology Research in Asia from a Comparative Clinical Psychology Perspective: Intersections of Culture, Practice, and Institutional Contexts
On October 11, 2026, Society President Taka Mochizuki and Society-affiliated contributors participated in an online self-organized symposium at the 45th Annual Convention of the Japanese Association of Clinical Psychology. Research trends in Mongolia, China, South Korea, India, and Japan were shared. A related journal special issue is being edited.
Interested participants and discussion presenters are welcome. Academic and clinical exchanges covering more regions and issues in education, healthcare, welfare, industry, and justice are being planned for the near future. Dates and fees will be announced when confirmed.

The Society for Comparative Clinical Psychology held an international academic and clinical exchange meeting on developmental support and rehabilitation practices in China.
Participants from the Society shared perspectives from comparative clinical psychology, developmental support, clinical psychology, and medical-rehabilitation collaboration, followed by discussion with Chinese clinical and rehabilitation professionals.
The collaborating medical institution in China provides rehabilitation services for people with developmental disabilities and physical disabilities, with multidisciplinary rehabilitation staff engaged in clinical support.
This exchange meeting focused on rehabilitation practices for developmental disabilities and physical disabilities in China, multidisciplinary collaboration in medical institutions, and community-based psychological and developmental support. It also explored possibilities for future international academic exchange, clinical exchange, and collaborative research.
